PBPC Family,

Thanks to everyone who showed up on Saturday, September 12 for our Sheet Mulching Party. I've heard there was a great turn out and we were able to get a lot of work done on sheet mulching and preparing the soil for planting in November. I've heard from a few neighbors who have commented on how good things are turning out - the neighborhood is taking notice!

There is still more work to be done - we have a section along Park Blvd that still needs to be completed. If you'd like to volunteer some time to help complete this final section, please reach out to Darshania (darshania@pbpc.org) and she can help coordinate a time for the work to be done.

This Sunday, we have the joy and privilege of baptizing Henry Hyunh and welcoming him, as well as Joseph and Shereel Washington as members of PBPC. Following the service we will have fellowship on the patio and a discussion of Open and Unafraid in the Cafe.

Henry Hyunh Baptism - September 20
Join us for worship on Sunday September 20 where we will baptize Henry Hyunh and welcome him, alongside Joseph and Shereel Washington, as members of Park Boulevard Presbyterian Church. It will be a beautiful and joyous day!

Ice Cream Social - September 20 from 1:00-4:00pm
The Glenview Neighborhood Association is hosting their annual Ice Cream Social on Sunday, September 20 from 1:00-4:00pm at the Triangle Park on Park Blvd. It is in between Hollywood and El Centro on Park Blvd. This is a great opportunity to connect with our neighbors!

Gardening Sunday - September 27
As part of our worship on Sunday September 27 and the Season of Creation, we will do some sheet mulching along Park Blvd. Please wear appropriate clothes. More details to come next week.

World Communion Sunday - October 4 at First Pres Berkeley
On Sunday, October 4 we will worship with other Presbyterian churches at First Pres Berkeley. The service begins at 10:00am and there will be a light reception afterwards (finger foods and desserts). More details to come as we get closer.

Blessing Fund
The Blessing Fund is a Session designated fund that I, as Pastor, can distribute to members of our community.  Over the years it has been used to help pay for medical expenses, rent, car repairs, and other unexpected needs. It is entirely funded by donations and is currently running low. If you would like to donate to it, please mark "Blessing Fund" on your check or online donation.
