Eugene Goodin, January 29, 1924 - May 16, 2020 Gene Goodin Memorial Service - This Sunday, May 24, at 12:00 noon Please join us in remembering our friend and brother, Gene Goodin, who passed away this last Saturday at the age of 96. Gene was so much a part of our life and family at PBPC that it is hard to imagine our church without him. You will have the opportunity to share a brief memory or tribute to Gene during this informal service on Zoom, which will begin right after our 11:00 am Zoom worship service. May 16, 2020 Dear PBPC Friends, It is with great sadness that I share the news with you that Gene Goodin passed away this morning. Gene had been taken to Kaiser Oakland on Monday afternoon after he was found unconscious in his apartment. On Wednesday he underwent surgery to install a pacemaker, but his body never fully responded to the treatment and this morning his heart stopped working. Gene's daughter, Wray, wrote this: Dad was so independent, that I believe he is right where he wants to be. He is going home and embraces his new life. His faith was so very strong, and that was a great gift he received later in life. Thank you for all the prayers and helping him to achieve a beautiful life with our Heavenly Father. - Wray We will all miss Gene immensely as he was so involved at PBPC and was so generous with his time and energy and so committed to the Lord.
