9.26.2023 PBPC Family Bulletin
PBPC Family,
The first Sunday in October, this year October 1, is often celebrated as World Communion Sunday. It is a day to remember that we are bound together with Christians all over the globe. When we receive communion, we partake in a celebration, a ritual, that binds us to our brothers and sisters in every corner of this earth. Whether we receive a piece of sourdough bread, flaky paratha, or a fresh tortilla, we all eat from the same loaf, the same body. As we celebrate communion this Sunday, I invite you to do so with an awareness and gratitude for the global body of Christ.
Here is a communion sonnet by Malcolm Guite.

One final note: I will be out of town September 25 - October 5. I will be back in worship on October 8 and will be back in the office on October 9 and will respond to emails then. If you have a pastoral emergency, please contact Amber at office@pbpc.org.
Grace and Peace,
