PBPC Family,
A few prayer requests I wanted to highlight this morning from some of our mission partners.
- Please pray for Grace Al Zoughbi's and Ashraf Jaraysa's families in Bethlehem. Pray for their safety and security in the war between US, Israel, and Iran and the possibility of a wider conflict.
- Pray for Addis who is in town through March 10. He will be meeting with an Assemblies of God committee to move forward in becoming ordained with the Assemblies of God, US. He is currently ordained with Assemblies of God Ethiopia and ordination with the US denomination will allow him to become an official AoG missionary. This will open up avenues for further financial support and relationships. Pray God's blessing over those meetings.
Let us continue to pray for our world, for those directly impacted by the war, for leaders of countries who carry great responsibility with the decisions they make, and for the Church to witness to the saving and reconciling love of Christ.

During Lent, a collection of Oakland churches are hosting Wednesday evening services. Here is the schedule and more information for the service this Wednesday.

This Wednesday, March 4, St. Paul Lutheran Church (1658 Excelsior) will host an Holden Village Evening Prayer service at 7:00pm. There is only street parking so please plan accordingly.
Lenten Book Study - Slow Theology
During Lent, we will read Slow Theology: Eight Practices for Resilient Faith in a Turbulent World and will discuss during our sermon discussion time following Sunday service. You can pick up books in the Narthex ($15 each). Below is the reading and discussion schedule.

March 11 - Food Pantry
Our next food pantry is Wednesday March 11 from 5:00-6:00pm. Please arrive by 4:30 to help pack bags.
March 11 - Friend's Listening Service at 7:00pm
PBPC is hosting a Friend's Listening service from 7:00-8:00pm on Wednesday March 11. A Friend's listening service is a traditional Quaker worship gathering where people share and speak as led by the Spirit. All are welcome!
March 14 - Dwell, Remember, Replenish at 7:00pm
PBPC is hosting a holy experiment; a night of singing and prayer to dwell in the Lord, remember that God is God, and be replenished for the work God has for us. John Yoo (and friends) will lead a time of singing with prayer and fellowship (afterwards). No childcare provided.
March 21 - Project Peace Day of Service
Come alongside churches around the Bay Area to serve local schools and non-profits. Project Peace is hosting a Day of Service on March 21 from 9:00am-12:00pm. There are plenty of spots still available at lots of local sites - sign up HERE.
