6.3.2025 PBPC Family Bulletin
PBPC Family,
As part of my work with Project Peace, I subscribe to a bunch of local church newsletters. It's helpful to stay in the loop on what's happening with other churches and sometimes, I get email or sermon inspirations.
Pastor Kai (from Grace Alameda) shared the following with his congregation. I thought it a fitting reflection to fit with our Season of Prayer.
An excerpt from A.A. Milne's "The House at Pooh Corner":
Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind.
"Pooh!" he whispered.
"Yes, Piglet?"
"Nothing," said Piglet, taking Pooh's paw. "I just wanted to be sure of you.
"Prayer sometimes just looks like the conversation Piglet and Pooh have. "God?" "Yes, child?" "Nothing. I just wanted to know you're there." And sometimes friends, that's all we really need."
Friends, if you find yourself struggling in prayer or at a loss for words, prayer can be as simple as being sure of God. And remember that your ups and downs do not change God's ever present love for you.
Looking forward to worshipping with you all on Sunday!
Grace and Peace,
Pastor Calvin
