10.29.2024 PBPC Family Bulletin

PBPC Family,

Thank you to everyone who turned in their commitment cards for 2025 on Sunday - we were reminded of God's abundant generosity and invited to model that in part.

If you were unable to turn in your commitment card, there is still time! You can print a Commitment Card at home and mail a copy to the church. You can send an email to Ginnie Daniel at accounting@pbpc.org. Or you can still pick one up in the Narthex.

All pledges received will help us set our budget for 2025.

This Sunday (November 3), we will celebrate All Saints Sunday. Please bring a picture or item to remember a loved one that has passed (recently or in your lifetime), or of a Christian who has influenced your faith.

Looking forward to worshipping with you all on Sunday!

Grace and Peace,

Pastor Calvin

The Ballot and the Bible - October 28
Thanks to everyone who joined us last night for our book discussion. Our next meeting will be Monday, October 28. We will meet at 7pm on Zoom and will discuss chapters 6-8.

All Saints Sunday - November 3
On November 3, we will celebrate and remember those who have died this last year and all those who have shaped our faith who now rest in Christ's eternal presence. There will be a time of remembrance during the service; please bring a picture or item of someone you would like to honor or remember.

Divided We Fall - November 3
Last night in our Ballot and the Bible discussion, we were introduced to an upcoming event that aims to help lessen the effects of polarization, an apt topic as we draw near the election. The graphic below has more information.

Election Night Prayer - November 5
Lakeshore Avenue Baptist Church (3534 Lakeshore Avenue) will open their sanctuary for prayer from 4-7pm on November 5. Local clergy will be offering prayers every half hour. We invite you to come and pray for our country.

Operation Shoebox - Due November 17
It's that time of year again - our elves are hard at work putting together shoeboxes filled with toys to be sent all over the world. There are three ways to build a box.
  1. Build a box online. It only costs $25 to build one box online and you can designate gender, age, and what special items can go inside.
  2. Send a check to PBPC and designate it for  "Xmas Shoebox". We will use those donations to build boxes online.
  3. Build your own box! We have plastic boxes available at PBPC - pick one up, pack it, and bring it back on Nov 17.

Harbor House Opportunities
